Silicone (VMQ)

Silicone actually covers a large group of materials where vinyl-methyl-silicone (VMQ) is often the central ingredient.  This material retains its flexibility and low compression set characteristics at both low and high temperatures - widest working temperature ranges for elastomers.

Features & Benefits

  • Good heat resistance
  • Good cold flexibility
  • Good ozone and weather resistance
  • Performs well in extreme temperature situations, or where thermal cycling occurs
  • Compatible with FDA regulations for medical devices and food service
