Flange spray shields are used in a variety of industries where their primary application is the prevention of mist formation and dangerous/harmful spray-outs resulting from failing pipe joints. Controlling these dangerous leaks or sprays of toxic, corrosive, and hazardous liquids such as acid, oil, or steam is imperative to maintaining a safe and manageable workspace. SUREBAND Clear (ECTFE Clear) and SUREBAND Steel (316SS) are the newest design from FLANGEGUARDS. Improving upon conventional spray shields, these modern designs require no pull cords and no tools to fit. Using a specially formulated multi-layered mesh that is held against the flange, SUREBAND's pressure-diffusion technology (PDT) helps diffuse leak pressure, resulting in a safe drip release. Both SUREBAND Clear and SUREBAND Steel are self-draining and can be removed and re-installed in seconds.
