HNBR O-Rings
Hydrogenated Nitrile (HNBR) O-Rings
Hydrogenated nitrile is a synthetic polymer that results from the hydrogenation of nitrile rubber (NBR). Superior mechanical characteristics, particularly high strength, helps reduce extrusion and wear.
Also known as highly saturated nitrile (HSN), HNBR is widely known for its physical strength and retention of properties after long-term exposure to heat, oil, and chemicals.

The unique properties and higher temperature rating attributed to HNBR when compared to NBR has resulted in wide adoption of HNBR in automotive, industrial, and assorted, performance-demanding applications.
O-ring applications can be very demanding. GFS Engineers are available to consult on any O-ring application. Click here to contact a GFS Engineer.
