Parker’s S1138 is a 70-Durometer FDA approved Red Silicone (VMQ) O-ring material. Silicone (VMQ) elastomers are ideal for high and low temperature applications. They have high heat and oxidative stability, outstanding low temperature flexibility, and are resistant to many chemicals. Silicones have good ozone and weather resistance as well as good insulating and physiologically neutral properties. However, silicone elastomers as a group, have relatively low tensile strength, poor tear strength and little wear resistance. Download our guide here.
PERFORMANCE & SPECIFICATIONS
