Parker’s E0962 is a 90-Durometer Black EPDM O-ring material. E0962 is intended for higher pressure applications and is resistant to both steam and explosive decompression. EPDM compounds are frequently used with foods, water and steam applications and offer the best resistance to ozone and weathering. EPDM’s are not used with petroleum oils or fuels because significant swelling would result. EPR copolymer ethylene propylene and ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM) terpolymer are particularly useful when sealing phosphate-ester hydraulic fluids and in brake systems that use fluids having a glycol base.
