Parker’s E1244 is a 70-Durometer Black Internally Lubricated EPDM O-ring material. E1244 meets a variety of specifications including: USP Class VI, USP 87, and NSF 61. The material has a temperature range of -70°F to 250°F. Additionally, E1244-70 contains an internal lubricant that reduces installation force and dynamic friction without the usual need for an external lubricant. This provides a cleaner, easier installation process and eliminates seal damage, friction, heat buildup, and accelerated wear which can sometimes generate rubber particle contamination or seal leakage. Compatible with all water-soluble chemistries, E1244-70 has excellent seal resistance to repeated steam, gamma, ozone, and ethylene oxide sterilization. And because it is already internally lubricated, no external lubricant is needed.
