The GFS Flanged Spring Energized PTFE Rotary Seal contains a U-shaped sealing element energized with a spring to ensure proper sealing at start up and low pressures. A flange is designed into the seal that mates with the seal housing to mechanically hold the seal in place. Unlike other rotary seals that rely on a press fit, or an o-ring on the OD, this design ensures no seal rotation. This is especially important in applications that see high levels of thermal cycling. This seal can tolerate some of the highest pressure of any rotary seal.
