The GFS Piston Asymmetrical U-Cup is a single-acting polyurethane hydraulic cylinder piston seal. The beveled sealing lip faces the piston to perform enhanced low to high pressure sealing and wiping action. The outer sealing lip is shorter and more robust to improve sealing and compression set characteristics compared to conventional symmetrical U-Cups. The U-Cup is designed to have an interference fit within the seal housing, and can be used in conjunction with a back-up ring for heavy duty applications. The standard material offering is a 95A durometer polyurethane; additional materials can be supplied upon request.
