DuPont recently conducted a review of its Kalrez® product line and, as a result, plans to discontinue production on two Kalrez® compounds in 2022:
Kalrez® 1050LF perfluoroelastomer parts will be discontinued
Orders for Kalrez® 1050LF parts will be accepted up until July 31st, 2022, with last estimated ship date of October 31st, 2022.
Gallagher Fluid Seals recognizes that discontinuing the production of Kalrez® 1050LF parts may require you to qualify an alternate product. For many applications, DuPont can provide an alternative commercial product that may be functionally equivalent after you or your customer(s) conduct fitness for use testing for your end-use application(s). For most applications, DuPont™ Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7375 may be a suitable replacement for 1050LF.

Kalrez® 1050LF vs. Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7375
DuPont™ Kalrez® 7375 perfluoroelastomer parts are an innovative FFKM product based on a patented crosslinking system for chemical process industry applications where broad chemical resistance and water/steam resistance are needed at elevated temperatures.
Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7375 parts exhibit excellent compression set resistance, outstanding physical property retention, and good mechanical strength properties. A maximum application temperature of 300°C (572°F) is suggested.
Kalrez® 3018 perfluoroelastomer parts will be discontinued
Orders for Kalrez® 3018 parts will be accepted up until January 31st, 2022, with last estimated ship date of April 30th, 2022.
Gallagher Fluid Seals recognizes that discontinuing the production of Kalrez® 3018 parts may require you to qualify an alternate product. For many applications, DuPont can provide an alternative commercial product that may be functionally equivalent after you or your customer(s) conduct fitness for use testing for your end-use application(s). For most applications, DuPont™ Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7390 may be a suitable replacement for 3018.

Kalrez® 3018 vs. Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7390
Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7390 perfluoroelastomer parts is a versatile FFKM product based on a patented proprietary crosslinking system that can meet your 90 durometer (Shore A) FFKM specifications in numerous shapes and configurations where higher mechanical strength is needed. Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7390 parts are designed to reliably seal in the most demanding chemical and hot water/steam environments. Thermally stable up to 300 °C, it is an ideal fit for upstream and downstream applications such as: oilfield production/completion equipment, wireline and drilling tools, steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD), cyclic steam stimulation (CSS), mechanical seals, valves, compressors, and process instrumentation.
