AMS3678 Certified PTFE Materials 

Parker is now offering PTFE compounds certified to AMS3678 standards.

This certification ensures that their materials meet the rigorous requirements essential for aerospace applications. Available for all PTFE seals, these certified materials are engineered to deliver superior performance, reliability and longevity.

Some compounds currently offered:

AMS3678/1 Grade B: Virgin PTFE

  • Outstanding chemical resistane with wide service temperature range
  • Excellent for cryogenic applications
  • Excellent gas impermeability and fluid sealibility with lowest coefficient of friction
  • Parker Material Code TG106

AMS3678/11: 10% Aromatic Polyester Filled PTFE

  • Excelent wear resistance with low coefficient of friction, especially during dry running
  • Non-abrasive against soft shafts and matting surfaces
  • Excellent high temperature capabilities with good chemical resistance
  • Low porosity with best performing filled PTFE compound in vacuum applications
  • Parker Material Code TG305

AMS3678/8: Carbon Fiber filled PTFE

  • High wear resistance with low coefficient of friction in both dry and water applications
  • High tensile and compressive modulus with increased hardness
  • Excellent extrusion resistance - low deformation under load
  • Good chemical resistance in strong alkali and hydrofluoric acid
  • Parker Material Code TG405
