Freudenberg Simmerring - Maximum Performance Under Extreme Pressure: B2PT
The Freudenberg Simmerring has been a successful product for about nearly 90 years. It seals rotating shafts reliably, and is used in millions of applications and machines in many industries. The Simmerring is flexible, highly loadable, and very dependable. Freudenberg Sealing Technologies has now further developed Simmerrings for use in the process industry – and they are made of food-grade materials.
At high rotational speeds and pressures,

Peroxidic-Crosslinked FKM Approved for USP Chapter 87
Freudenberg Sealing Technologies' peroxidic-crosslinked fluoroelastomer material 75 FKM 239961 now also has received pharma-specific approval according to USP Chapter 87. The result of the in vitro conformity test confirms that the material has no toxic effects on cell cultures. With this advancement, bisphenol crosslinked FKM materials can be replaced in the food industry. The immediately available high-performance material is very resistant to media and temperature and is ultrapure.
FKM has become an integral material for the process industry. It is suitable for applications under high temperatures and with aggressive media. These properties are critically important for the food and beverage as well as in the pharmaceutical industries. Those beneficial properties lead to high demand for the material and this in turn to long delivery times. The material from Freudenberg Sealing Technologies meets high purity standards and

Freudenberg Sealing Technologies can now validate the superior performance capabilities of the intelligent seals it has under development. In addition to their core function, these seals can handle tasks such as sensor applications and monitoring their own state of wear. As a result, they enhance the reliability of machines and systems they help power by providing data about their state of performance and safety. That in turn helps eliminate mechanical failures and unanticipated downtime. A new feasibility study, conducted by Freudenberg Sealing Technologies, has verified the benefits of these sealing functions.

In the process industry, the Simmerring® Radiamatic HTS II shaft seal ring offers diverse options for its use, such as bottling systems, food equipment, and pharmaceutical and cosmetics units, along with mixers. The key advantage of HTS II shaft seal rings is their high resistance to media since the substances only come into contact with PTFE. This makes it possible to achieve particularly hygienic processes. For approaches based on hygienic design, Freudenberg Sealing Technologies offers dead-space-free variations, such as HTS II 9539 VL with a forward-positioned seal lip.

components their machines need in order to operate and produce their desired end product. The ways that tooling impacts a manufacturing operation are imperative. Not only is the tooling of your own manufacturing important, but also of the tools themselves that will be a part of your own operation. It’s necessary to have components that have been tooled to specifications, have high quality, and will perform under stress.
Potential Effects of Tooling
The end result of your operation’s tooling is going to affect every aspect of the business and its success. If an operation has been improperly tooled, then it will inevitably have a less efficient running cost, slowing things down. When an improperly tooled machine fails, it can have disastrous consequences, not limited to time lost, loss of product, and potential hazard to employees or customers.

A component’s reliability and service life are top priorities for wind turbine manufacturers. This is especially true for main shaft seals, which are exposed to powerful forces. In addition, larger shaft diameters have prompted adoption of new, more stringent operating requirements. Freudenberg Sealing Technologies has succeeded in developing a new seal that reliably prevents leaks from the grease-lubricated main bearings used in conjunction with these shafts while tolerating strong shaft runout.
Manufacturers continue to increase the size of wind turbines in an effort to generate an ever-increasing

Polyurethane (AU) seals are among the most versatile and durable materials used in fluid power sealing. They are cast into billets or molds to create the seals used in many of the hydraulic components you see every day, such as pump shaft seals, cylinder pistons and rod seals. The material benefits from man chemical formula types, providing a wide range of sealing characteristics to suit countless applications.
Formerly known as Simrit, but now Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST), the Disogrin® brand of polyurethane materials are FST's proprietary compounds used for fluid power seals.
Below are two of the most common polyurethane compounds used in the industry. This blog will discuss the application parameters and features and benefits of Disogrin 6865 and 9250.
