PROBLEM
Customer experienced seal failure in the form of extrusion; the housing structure for their membrane filter could not adequately accommodate the OEM seal

SOLUTION

Originally thought to be a material and durometer issue, GFS discovered the seal design was not adequate for the housing, and thus suggested a new material and back-up ring assembly

RESULTS
The new back-up ring assembly was able to accommodate the fluctuating high pressures, which prevented the failure mode of  extrusion, thus reducing the number warranty claims
