PROBLEM
The customer’s slurry pump double cartridge seal failed less than one year after being repaired
SOLUTION
GFS partnered with EagleBurgmann to disassemble and clean the seal, exchange the seal elements, refinish and replace two seal faces, replace the flange, re-assemble the seal, and leak-test it
RESULTS
The precisely-performed seal repair and refurbishment by GFS and EagleBugmann doubled the life to 18+ months, increased seal reliability, reduced downtime, and increased throughput
